Solves some problems for me

Ordering a second one. I bought a 64GB card for my new camera that my computer couldn't read. So I needed an SDXC reader small enough to fit in a slot in my camera bag. Also, some of my computers have USB ports that are horizontal and closely spaced. Many of these readers block adjacent ports, which is inconvenient. A 3.0 reader I accidentally bought is so wide it blocks ports on BOTH sides! This device fits snugly into all of my USB ports (well, a regular SD card sticks out on one side, but I can usually get around that). With the micro SD connector completely out of the way at the end, I can easily install another 256GB or more! The slim design allows me to slip it into a slim pocket in my camera bag where I will keep it forever. This came in handy when I visited my son's house yesterday when I was using it to display images on their HDTV (via their Roku player). As technology advances, it's foolish to keep buying USB 2.0 devices when the price difference is so small. EDIT 1: 02/11/2018 Already there. Almost twice as fast on port 3.0 for large transfers. And the ability to read micro USB cards without an adapter is a very handy addition. It will be useful to be able to easily view and manage images from my Galaxy Note smartphone. Love having a removable battery and flash memory! EDIT 2: February 11, 2018 I bought a similar device that includes a retractable microUSB connector to provide on-the-go (OTG) connectivity for my phone, so I didn't even need the micro SD card from my phone needs access to my data.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
