📸 IOGEAR GFR304SD: SuperSpeed USB 3.0 SD/Micro SD Card Reader/Writer for Efficient Data Transfer Review

Since my old USB2 died a month ago, I needed a new SD/Micro adapter. Since I like this model, I chose it. USB 3 also helps when I flash or move files to it. Great product for the price!

Had high hopes for this item but with normal handling on second day of ownership the two halves of the plastic separated and it fell apart in my hand. I didn't want to mess with the return and since I needed it to work I took some super glue and taped it back together. So far so good, but I get worried every time I press on it to unplug it from the USB socket. Take risks if you want, but I'm sorry I didn't continue my search.

Well I've hooked it up and it works so far (needed it for a Raspberry Pi retro pi project, I'll check later after more use .When I opened it up it looks fine, then I saw that although I had a tear, only one corner turned out to be properly formed (see photo).Try an SD reader, but only one micro, and it works as it should (although only a few minutes to make sure everything is working properly I'll most likely glue the corners together later and I'm sure it will be great after that, but it's…

Ordering a second one. I bought a 64GB card for my new camera that my computer couldn't read. So I needed an SDXC reader small enough to fit in a slot in my camera bag. Also, some of my computers have USB ports that are horizontal and closely spaced. Many of these readers block adjacent ports, which is inconvenient.
