The paper in these bags is significantly thinner than the branded paper. This makes them easier to install and expand in my opinion. The paper still feels kind of stiff. If you're picking up sharp objects they might tear more easily, but I pick up drywall dust, paint shavings and mist, it works great and is a lot cheaper than the original. Note that I tried tearing them, but they appear to be made from the paper used in some envelopes, which is almost impossible to tear and is silky. Even if I sucked on sharp objects I would still try them because of the cost.
