z-wave setup instructions with hub says to press/press the command button 3x 3x to make the orange light blink 5x. How you can click/press the command key three times in a row is a mystery, it might or might not be both. After trying very hard and looking for instructions in a similar product, I ended up with a setting of -1. You need to connect it to a power source first and wait until the green light comes on.2. Press the command button to turn off the green light.3. Make sure your hub is in discovery mode and is searching for a new z wave4 device. Press the command key several times quickly and without much delay. (more than 3 times, maybe 5 or 6 times)5. If you are not fast enough the green light will turn on, in this case turn off the green light and start again from point 3.6. The device will not turn orange, but the light will flash red several times and turn off.7. If your hub is still actively searching for a Z-Wave device when bright red flashes occur, it will eventually detect it. If not, then keep repeating it until it is recognized.8. Ideally, you should see 5 flashes of orange light on this device to confirm syncing, but this may or may not happen depending on the hub you're using. This is one of the weirdest ways to set it up. and there after turning off and on it should work.
