Review on 🔒 K&N Premium Oil Filter for HYUNDAI/KIA/SUBARU/HONDA: Engine Protection & Compatibility (HP-1004) by Darrell Beecher

(Used on Subaru WRX 2018) First time using this one so I can't really say how much better it is than Subaru's OEM oil filters but I will a few give thoughts. At first I thought I had an older white version (which is fine) but as I read the comments I saw that a lot of people got a different version than the one I got. The one I received must have been "good"; not rusty or dusty, with the number of filter holes indicated on the page and the rubber seal intact. I actually went to the trouble of taking the old one off and figured it would be easy if it unscrewed. Finally took it off, poured some oil into the K&N filter and smeared the rubber around it, then hit it with no problem. I turned it a bit with the key and it fit perfectly. I was a bit concerned thinking it might be too high and banging on my hood, but that didn't happen (thank goodness). I've always liked k&n and will probably keep using it just for the ease of use.
