I got my nostril pierced about a month ago and was looking for a smaller hairpin as i am starting a new job and wanted a less noticeable piercing. I also looked for one that wasn't a corkscrew because it really annoyed me to twist and hold. I have reviewed many pieces of jewelry on Revain and am very happy with this purchase. I made sure to really clean the jewelry before putting it up my nose to avoid infection. I like that it's easy to put in and take out, but it takes a little effort to take it out. In other words, I can easily pull it out if I push it out from the inside, but I'm not afraid that it will fall out or blow my nose while sleeping. FYI, neither end of the gem is unscrewed, it just pushes through your nose. This is perfect for my nostril but not sure I would recommend it for other types of piercings. Also the length of these is perfect for my cartilage and barely protrudes fully at the other end. That being said, it may be too short for some people depending on the thickness of your cartilage.
