USB-HDMI adapter arrived in the original packaging. The package includes an adapter, driver disk and user manual, as well as a 1-year warranty. The disk contains drivers for Windows and MacOSx. I installed drivers for Windows 7 x64 on a DELL laptop and connected an external DELL monitor to a USB HDMI adapter. I had no problem getting my desktop onto another monitor. So I can confirm that the drivers work on Windows 7 x64 and on a USB 3.0 port. I don't know if it also works on USB 2.0, I haven't tried it. I can also confirm that the HDMI adapter does not heat up at all. The adapter itself is in an aluminum case and makes a high-quality impression. The only thing I would complain about is the lack of drivers for Linux. My suggestion to manufacturers would be to make drivers for Linux as well. Since they made drivers for MacOSx I think that with a little effort they could remake the same driver to run on Linux or at least FreeBSD which is MacOSx like. I think this adapter is of exceptional quality and the Linux drivers make it truly unique in its class. For those who use Windows or Mac, this adapter is really useful!
