This is an essential tool for removing BMW spark plugs. Don't try to use your base dip 14s on these connectors or you will break them. Spend a few bucks on this baddie and save yourself tons of time and money on cracked spark plugs. At $15 per BMW plug, you can easily justify the cost of that plug if you can even use it to avoid a broken plug. The spring hanging from the fork is perfectly stretched. Strong enough to hold the plug but not strong enough to pull the socket out of the extension cord and leave it in the spark plug tube - when that happens it drives me crazy. As a mechanic, I'm glad I have this in my toolbox. even if I only use it occasionally.
