Review on AOPEN 27HC5R Pbiipx Curved Monitor with FREESYNC Technology, Full HD 165Hz Refresh Rate by Craig Anderson

Gsync works and looks great!

Gsink works! My main reason for choosing this monitor was the high gsync compatibility with the update and the overall good picture quality for the price. while it works fine. Pros: - Great contrast. VA panels like this are often overlooked, but they usually have better picture quality than TN and even IPS in some aspects. Works especially well in low light conditions. Gsync works without problems. You can check if it works via Nvidia display settings. One of the top tabs offers an option to display an on-screen notification when gsync is enabled. - Performance and features with good value for money. The color palette seems to be limited with lighter colors. The one I have is very minimal with an even spread. - A small doubling. Noticeable when the cursor is moved quickly. Overall a good choice if you prefer higher quality picture features like superior contrast and color vibrancy at the expense of a 4ms response time and slight ghosting. Will update any major changes.

  • Dead Pixels: These are defective pixels that remain black or glow solid on the display.
