I'm new to hardware security keys. Hell, I spent a whole day studying them all because I was intrigued by the concept and the safety. I got my key last week. It didn't work initially on my laptop for NameCheap.com, but I think the problem was the new Opera browser called GX or the way my Windows 10 is set up. Anyway, I tried it on my main desktop and it worked straight away with no problems. Then try again on the laptop by changing the NameCheap settings. Now it works great. I bought this Thetis key because of its price and good reviews. minuses? Well the plastic doesn't seem very durable but for the price it does. What can we expect? Pretty durable I would say. Also, it doesn't work universally like those overpriced Yubikeys, but they cost half as much as these. However, if you are planning on getting Yubikey keys instead, please note that it is STRONGLY recommended to have at least TWO keys. Important services like Google, Dropbox, NameCheap, Bitwarden work with these keys. So you can get an expensive Yubikey plus a Thetis key as a backup if you really need it. For me, Thetis is enough. I plan to have another one. I used a USB-C adapter for my phone. My LG V20 phone thought it was a keyboard at first, but after reinstalling NameCheap.com it was recognized immediately and I was able to log in.
