I am satisfied with the quality of this item. It's really good - strong and comfortable. The added benefit of the splash guard on the hose is great; And I was honestly impressed with the instructions too! At first I joked "why would I do that" but that's because my whole family can already snorkel. However, when I checked them out, I saw how detailed they are for beginners. I especially like that they include safety tips. What most people don't really know is that on rare occasions, scuba diving can be fatal if you pass out in shallow water and nobody pulls you out of the water. They cleverly warn against never snorkeling alone! The mask fits well, but is definitely something for small or "medium-sized" children. My boys are taller than most kids. My 8 year old was still able to wear it but it was too tight for my 11 year old. It's all about knowing your kids. My eldest also needs adult sunglasses.
