They are not dense enough to cover the hair.
I noticed that other reviews talk about using it as a bowl lid. Well I wanted them for my head as I use henna and don't want it to spread all over my body. The elastic in the caps I received doesn't fit snugly. I have compared it to my other caps (from another source) of which I have about 10 left and the other product is much denser which is what you need if you don't want hair color all over. So I can't say that I recommend them for hair. I think I'll have to try them as lids for bowls.
