Not a bad stand seems well assembled but not the best in this price range in my opinion. I have two other TV stands so I thought I could do a good comparison test. HEIGHT ADJUSTERS: The Echogear has four height adjusters on the back of the rack where you loosen 4 screws and then move those screws to the next row of holes. My AEON model has three height settings that don't require removing any screws. To make adjustments, simply change the vertical stripes on one of three levels. I've attached a picture of the height difference between the two models. I bought an Echogear model for a 50" TV that works well and gives me about 34" of space between the bottom of the TV and the metal base. Note that if you're considering an Echogear for a 55- to 65-inch TV, you'll have little to no space under the TV for components or to mount a soundbar underneath. This is because the Echogear's maximum overall height is much lower than the AEON model. BASE SYSTEM: The immediate difference is that the AEON base is approximately 2530% larger. I like the large base because it allows you to place components on the glass underneath the TV. When I put my cable box on top of the Echogear model, it's too low and hangs down the front of the base. The base of the Echogear is a thin metal shell stamped to create a thick look. This is matte black paint. The AEON model has a very thick black tinted glass. This may be a personal preference, but I like the look of the AEON much more and am concerned that the metal base will become scratched and dented over time, while the glass still looks good after 8 months of heavy use. COLUMN: The Echogear model is a two-piece metal column. The lower pillar has a small plate at the bottom that is welded on with four small threaded screws to hold it in place. The inner column is small and slides into the larger column, allowing for height adjustment. The Echogear speaker is finished in matte black. The AEON model also consists of two columns, but the top and bottom are the same size. The upper part is for the swivel function. The AEON is attached to the glass top with two large, continuous threaded rods placed between the glass and the top of the column to form a sandwich. As a former welder, I like the idea that AEON has no welds to fail. The outer surface of the AEON column is finished in high-gloss black. PAN: Both Echogear and AEON models have good pan range and functionality. The AEON model rotates less easily. STABILITY: Echogear and AEON appear to be solid and stable TV stands. I have a 50" 40lb TV on Echogear and a 60" 58lb TV and 10lb soundbar on AEON. Neither model tilts, but my Echogear tilts a few degrees to the left. I installed a spacer to solve this problem. ASSEMBLY: The Echogear has a slight advantage here, I assembled the Echogear in about 15 minutes and the AEON model took about 5 minutes more. GENERAL: Overall this Echogear is a good TV stand and I will not be returning this model. But I personally prefer the AEON for its looks, large base and extra height under the TV. I would give Echogear 4.1 stars and AEON 4.7 stars.
