Other 5 star reviews are true. I've been using this for almost two years and am only now nearing the bottom of 20 oz. (almost 600 g) packaging. This is not a descaler, this is not an all-purpose cleaner, this is a product for coffee dirt and especially for backwashable espresso machines. (Small consumer machines don't have the 3-way valve needed for a true backwash. If your machine emits a powerful jet into the drip tray immediately after it stops, you have a 3-way valve. All commercial machines and higher end users models have this feature.) I shoot 2-4 shots a day with my Profitec 300. I just rinse with water daily and use a group brush. Weekly I clean the filter basket with this product and wash the car with it and then with water as instructed. If you work in a coffee shop or take a lot more sips than I do, you should use this thing more often. By the way, I have incredibly soft water (about 30ppm Na and 10ppm Mg) so calcification is not a problem. I use a Brita filter to remove particles and free chlorine. I have a gram scale ($10 at Revain and pretty accurate) that I use to weigh this stuff, but US is 1/2 TL. That's 2.6g, so round it up a bit to get the recommended 3g.
