The button operates in the "one press - volume up, second press - volume down" fashion. I have used a similar device in the past, but this functionality was not immediately evident to me. This is especially true considering that there was no instruction booklet included with the device. Nevertheless, my initial experience with the device was positive. Has some pros: - Extremely convenient and practical: you can put the camera away and you won't have to rush to it to turn it on; it also has an attractive design. - The design is well thought out in general: the head of the monopod does not hang out and is fixed in several positions; the phone can be fixed horizontally as well as vertically; you can set a convenient stick length or tripod height; the legs of the tripod are on magnets or springs so that they do not hang out and fold quickly; and the stick length can be adjusted conveniently. I had to get it translated into English in order to comprehend the name of the bluetooth device for connection and how to use it in general. The instruction manual is written in Chinese.
