Works very well for my setup
I take the HDMI out of the cable box, disconnect it and send one of the outputs to one of mine via a Benfei HDMI to VGA adapter computer monitors on my desk. So I can watch the news or listen to music via my cable box while I'm working. Picture quality is excellent and HD looks great on a 24 inch Dell monitor. Sound is routed from the cable box directly to an audio computer equipped with a Logitech speaker system with subwoofer via the RCA outputs. No latency or audio issues. / Video synchronization. In the end I have a great 24" HD TV and good sound on my computer desk for little money. Money well spent.
