The device is beautiful, convenient and (if it works) worth the money. I really wanted to like it, but I couldn't. I connected a flash drive to my desktop computer and copied some video files to it. It worked well and performance seemed good. I unplugged it and plugged it into the TV I wanted to watch the copied videos on. The TV did not see the device. (Other flash drives work fine.) I disconnected the TV, and the flash drive fell apart - the internal circuit board literally fell out of the case with a piece of black plastic. To be clear, the second time I plugged it in (to access the copied data) it broke. I looked at the parts and was able to put it back together, but when I plugged it into my laptop, the laptop didn't see it. I turned it off and noticed that the internal parts had moved a couple of millimeters - that's enough for the metal contacts not to touch properly. I put it back in and fiddled with it and managed to register it. I see several possibilities: - Play around with it every time I want to use it. (Too much hassle.) - Trade it in and hope the next one holds up better. (It's a hassle, it costs "not worth a return or exchange if defective" and the design looks like it would fail the same way again.) - Send it back for a refund. (No bother here either.) - Remove the shell and use naked. (It would be too sensitive to shock and ESD.) - Try to tape the inside and hope I line it up correctly as I won't get a second chance. (Maybe I'll give that a try.) - Order a flash drive with two USB ports from another manufacturer. (I've already done this, but the new device isn't here yet and won't be as cute.) Bottom line: It's probably a great little chopstick if it holds together, but mine fell apart the second time I used it. I could glue it together and use it.
