So I have to explain why I'm giving this item a 1. Firstly, it was a 5 when I first received this item. I love the end result after using this iron. It's very easy to use and I'm not very good at styling my hair with a flat iron. Unfortunately I only used it 3 times and now it doesn't work anymore. I take good care of my things. I have kept this iron in its original packaging and such. I press the power button and it turns off after a few seconds. I used multiple outlets and the like to make sure it was a product defect and not an outlet. It was definitely a defective item. I wrote the company a letter, but nobody answered me. They say they will reply within 24-48 hours and it has been like this for 6 days now. I am very disappointed in their customer service. I even made a video of the defect and how the iron's green light turns off a few seconds after turning it on. Please be careful when ordering this item. My friends were also willing to buy a flat iron because they liked the look of my hair. Now they won't because the company isn't doing it wrong. TO UPDATE. After my initial review, I was contacted by customer support for the product. They send me a replacement. All I had to do was cut the cord and send them a photo of the cut cord. Now I have 5 points! I'm glad they're doing it right! I look forward to a replacement as the flat iron does a phenomenal job of creating curls quickly and easily! :-)
