I bought this and a Nimbus - both with string bristles - to see which I like better. I prefer these just for the shape of the head. It's really just a personal preference. I'm a skeptic. A toothbrush is a toothbrush until it becomes one. It worked SIGNIFICANTLY better than the free ones I used - the ones I get from the dentist. The bristles of the floss really make a difference, not only because you can feel them going between your teeth, but also because you don't have to brush as hard to get the same job done. I had no problems with pain. or something like some of the other reviewers.
