When I was younger I had Weller Instant On models, they always broke after a few uses so I started sticking standard -Models to buy, but 30W it is not good. not enough for big wires. I had to search a bit to find a US made soldering iron but I'm glad I found this one. It heats up FAST, gets HOT, and is easy to use. So far it has been reliable, seems to be very durable. Worth the price. Use for large electrical work/battery. An LED could be used instead of a dim bulb, but I'll replace it if it burns out.
