The only thing this remote did was (sometimes) turn the lights on and off and dim (but it was so quick I couldn't leave it at the desired level could she get in). Getting the remote to communicate with our fan wasn't a problem, but getting the remote to do what it was supposed to do was a big challenge. The fan and reverse buttons didn't work at all. This is the second remote control of this brand (ANDERIC) that I have bought and I bought it because I thought that it is indeed a Hampton Bay branded remote control and that it will work better than the last one (Anderic brand ) which I already had to return. the same reasons. Do yourself a favor and just find one that's actually Hampton Bay branded at Home Depot or Lowe's and spend a little more to get one. The money I "saved" wasn't worth the hassle and I'm already past the return date on this one so that's $20 down the toilet. A complete waste of money.
