I bought this for an old sink that was dull and water-spotted, no matter what I did. I didn't know if a product existed to help restore its sheen, but I hoped so. After reading reviews for several similar products, I settled on this one. Glad I did. Not only is that old sink looking fabulous, but I'm using it on all the other stainless steel items in my home as well to spruce them up. It does have a very toxic chemical smell, but it's a chemical. I won't need to use it often, but I'd suggest wearing gloves and a mask while using for self-protection. The smell dissipates fairly quickly, but no sense inhaling it more than one needs to.
