I gave the kids two of these for Christmas. Initially they were a great success - they were played several times at Christmas and every day after. A few days later I wrote a rave review of another set. We followed directions, only using the pens provided, cleaned the animals immediately and emptied the water baths when it was done. Everything was kept in Rubbermaid's open basket when not playing with it. One without a lid so lots of airflow. It's not very humid at home (January, after all). It's been ten days since they first got them, and the "pets" are all moldy! They smell horribly and cleaning with the supplied brush does nothing. I am so disappointed in the kids - they love this toy but it is definitely unsafe and unsanitary to play with in its current condition. I'm trying to save her with a mild bleach solution, but if that doesn't work we'll have to throw away her favorite Christmas present in just a few days. Really a bummer.
