Just over $100 is a great deal. I live in the high desert of Southern California where spring, summer and sometimes fall can get quite hot. I've had this cool box for a few days now and I like it so far. You still need to treat it like an evaporative cooler, so it needs to be near an open window for airflow. An added benefit of portable vaporizers over window vaporizers is that you can add ice to the water, which really helps you cool down faster. I don't understand how most of these negative reviews ended, but I saw them complain about the room not being cooled. Remember that evaporative coolers only work in dry and warm/hot locations. If the humidity outside is above 60%, it probably won't have much of an impact. But if the conditions are right and you position it correctly with the right amount of airflow, you won't be disappointed.
