TL;DR Buy. worth your money. Just the return line, not as yellow/warm as most 2700k but not so much that you can't get it. I'm very glad I bought Cree. Good workmanship, solid construction. Installation was almost as easy as changing a lightbulb (pun intended). The hardest part of this install was getting the old backlight out. The jars in my house are 6 inches and these Crees fit right in, NO hassle. The only downside for me was that they are bright for 2700k. Unlike the flashy office/hospital, they are still very suitable for home/dining room/family room. Maybe a little better suited for the kitchen/bathroom, but not at all a sore point in the living area. I like the "warmth" and in my opinion they're a bit bright for that. Not sure if it's related to the CRI rating or something else, but they're not as yellow/warm as the 2700k I have am used to. So am I disappointed in them? No not at all hence 5 stars vs 4. They are very much worth the money spent. Do your own reviews, and while "cheaper" brands aren't bad, as a homeowner, you're better off spending the money on quality fixtures than cheap ones. Also as a long term renter I would prefer if they are cheap.
