Charges well. The cable is incredibly thick and strong, almost bulky. I'm not using it for its intended purpose, I wanted a very long cord with a 90º plug to charge the phone while in use. Sometimes it gets a little awkward when I rotate the phone and don't want the cord to bend, but that's user awkwardness; It's not the fault of the cable or its purpose. If you're using it with a phone, be aware that a thin phone with a thin case leaves some wiggle room for the charger to wiggle. This can cause things to loosen up. The new phone I got has a lot more presence and it fits great. I will say the dish is heavy and if I were wearing it on my face I might find it a bit annoying when it pulls.
