I bought this dock. I thought it would be better quality for the money. I was sure they would make the base heavier. Plastic throughout, this docking station feels light and cheap. I use a plastic folding table as my desk and due to the lack of mass in the dock, the rotating drives have brought a kind of "harmony" to my desk. The vibration I was feeling just couldn't be healthy for my drives. Vibrations that wouldn't exist if they spent some money to make the base heavier. For the price of this dock I felt like they should have been. While trying to track my own weight, I did something to it, I don't know what, and it stopped working. I spent a lot of money to learn a hard lesson: sometimes you don't even get what you pay for. Update: After throwing that away, I bought an OWC dock (this one: https://amzn.to/2upUIXp) and a day/night difference. A training base well built and designed with quality materials!
