At least he can do his job somehow.

My previous ThermalTake BlackX Duo (USB B 3.0 header on board) was recently misplaced and accidentally damaged, and before I get the components from Mouser, solder the defective port and solder a new one, i need something to access my storages (a bunch of blank hard drives) so i went with this one based on the usb-c connector, some reviews etc. Got it today, only -1 tested. The hole guides are wider so you can't just plug in hard drives, but be careful not to hit the soldered connector on the…

Works, but. on Hard Drive Accessory

I bought it for hard drive testing, backup and cloning. Windows will recognize both drives when connected and you can easily format and copy them. However, when using tools like Seatools to diagnose discs, both discs will report the same make/model which can confuse disc diagnostics if the tool can access individual dives at all. I can use another single bay dock instead. The USB-C connection is handy for extra bandwidth when using both drives.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Eureka! Hard Drive Enclosures

I work with computers a lot. I remember cloning and replacing a hard drive in the past. If only I had known about this beauty many years ago. I've been thinking about replacing my Nvidia Shield Pro 500GB hard drive with an SSD for a few months now. However, after watching a few YouTube videos and reading a few forums. I realized that replacing a non-Windows drive was going to be a daunting task. The process was lengthy and required a Linux PC. Download a few files and hope you're ready. Not…

Excellent Trusted Reliable High Performance Docking Station

This Inateck product has the same quality, reliability and dependability as its older version and virtually all Inateck products. In fact, this is the best docking station I've ever used. He's very, very reliable. It is well made and installation is very quick and easy. The product was well packaged, unpacking was very easy and quick. It would be helpful for Inateck to think about computer software that allows you to mirror your computer so that in the event of a hard drive failure, you can…

Works, I know better.

Works, but I'm better with USB docking stations. My only real complaint is that the write speeds are incredibly slow, even with a dedicated USB 3.1 Link+ controller. and the drives you plug in are not recognized as block devices registering them as USB removable media (i.e. the device vendor class and OEM strings are NOT passed back to the OS, instead you get a facade interface - although for 99.999% of you it will play). doesn't matter - so I now have two docks and this one is only used as a…

I threw it in the trash

I bought this dock. I thought it would be better quality for the money. I was sure they would make the base heavier. Plastic throughout, this docking station feels light and cheap. I use a plastic folding table as my desk and due to the lack of mass in the dock, the rotating drives have brought a kind of "harmony" to my desk. The vibration I was feeling just couldn't be healthy for my drives. Vibrations that wouldn't exist if they spent some money to make the base heavier. For the price of this

At least he can do his job somehow.

My previous ThermalTake BlackX Duo (USB B 3.0 header on board) was recently relocated and accidentally damaged, and before getting the components from Mouser, desoldering the defective port and soldering a new one I needed something to access my storages (a bunch of bare hard drives) so i chose this one based on the USB-C connector, some reviews etc. Got it today, only tested -1. The hole guides are wider so you can't just plug in hard drives, but be careful not to hit the soldered connector on

Pros
  • Auto sleep mode: enters sleep mode after 30 minutes of idle time to reduce power consumption and extend hard drive life.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
