The product is okay, it's not a waste of money!

In general, if you have a powerful PC, a good choice. Despite the disadvantages, I think HD video is the future, and today, tomorrow we will only watch this format. Some of the cons I listed might not have been announced if I had used a different camera and knew that they were worse. Well, for beginners home cameramen will do. Has pros: From what I especially liked - light, pretty, takes pictures while recording, I liked the quality of the zoom (quite clearly, even with digital zoom). Not fully understood, but already noted both the pros and cons. Loved the night shot! Excellent sensitivity! You can turn on the front lamp for lighting, which is also convenient, especially for filming in closed indoor areas. Has cons: Was expecting something more. This is my first camcorder and I have nothing to compare it to. The biggest problem for me turned out to be in viewing the captured video. The computer is practically not ready to show it. In different video players, the video crashes, or the sound does not match the video, or terrible brakes, or stripes appear when viewing moving objects. In general, this is sad. Buy a camera and not really watch the footage. I suppose the issue is solved by buying a more powerful PC (although a dual-core laptop could not master playback) . Of the minuses, I also note the operation of the zoom button - too sharp an increase (you need to barely touch it for smoothness), which is rather inconvenient. Yes, the front microphone is not very sensitive, especially on the street. Some of the people I filmed while watching the video said that it was completely absent (I had to show the camera and make sure that it was there !).
