Ideal for adding an Ethernet jack without having to add a box to attach the cover.
In my old house, there is solid, thick wood behind the drywall, so it's very difficult to attach a box to the wall. These inserts are perfect. I drilled a hole just big enough for a keystone bushing to fit through and then simply inserted a drywall screw into opposite corners of the insertion hole and then easily screwed in the separate pad. Light.
