Review on 🌡️ Robinair 10597 1-Inch Dial Thermometer, Range 0°F to 220°F by Jason Sundstrom

The thermos is ok, but the clip is cheap and breaks easily - so be careful!

I don't think I can really complain for the price. However, the face is not as easy to read as it might appear in the picture. Most people have to be within 2-3 feet to read it. The main reason I removed a few stars is the metal part of the bag holder. I accidentally slipped off the red tube. When trying to reattach it, the small metal tab holding the thermometer in place broke, making it quite difficult to check the temperature of the register. Even a slight adjustment of the pocket clip tension ripped this piece off. So if you already have it, be careful when attaching it to things. This is a simple/beautiful but essential part of the whole instrument and is VERY fragile/breaks easily. This is clearly not spring steel (and if it is, it is poorly finished - too brittle) and in my opinion this is a manufacturing defect. Therefore, this tool is impractical for most uses.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
