Everything about this display is great except for the fact that USB-C charging is unreliable. I am using a Macbook Pro 16" 2019 model. There are several USB devices connected to the display and I use it as a USB hub because as well as a laptop charger. The only connection I have with my MBP is is a single USB-C connection to the display. The USB-C port works as expected for a few hours at a time. It handles all USB connections, The display and performance are as expected. Charging stops after 4 hours of use The battery indicator in the title bar of the laptop shows that the battery is not charging. Apart from charging, all other functions work as expected. This is a big problem because: 1. The only indication that the battery is low is the change in the tiny icon in the title bar There is no sign of a problem until the computer's battery is completely drained 2. Connecting a separate charger does not work The laptop thinks the display is charging will, so it won't restart. determine that another power source is connected. To solve this problem, I have to turn the display off and on several times. I verified that it is a display issue by connecting the same USB-C cable to another Macbook. Same issue (no charging but usb and video work). I am returning this ad. REALLY frustrating that the $700 display broke right out of the box. I spent hours troubleshooting and it severely impacted my productivity.
