Unfortunately, a powerful radiant heater with less power quickly failed

It was originally purchased as a small surface heater that only consumed 600 watts. So many heaters want to go straight to the 1500W setting to provide heat. So far I've found this very compact unit, which I consider a desk heater, to fill my home office (12x15) quite quickly on a lower setting. Unfortunately, after only a couple of weeks, it stopped heating at all. The fan kept blowing, but didn't heat up. Disappointing after a great start.
