So far so good! I rebuilt the cylinder head in the machine shop. I installed these valves. I drove about 2000 km after the repair, the car drives perfectly. Don't be fooled by expensive valves. Valves are mostly valves. As long as the specs, dimensions, and metallurgy are within reasonable tolerances, you're good to go. I wouldn't hesitate to reinstall them if I had another catastrophic failure. However, if I had the timing error again, I'd probably be more inclined to stick a rag in the gas tank and light it up.
