Revainrating 4 out of 5

Surprisingly satisfied!

Ok I was very skeptical but thought it was worth a try as we only snowboard a few times a year. It took me a minute to set it up because I triple checked everything as it seems cheap but don't let the looks fool you. This child was very safe! We strapped this in and drove the car from LA to Big Bear with no issues. We had two snowboards that stuck all the way. At speeds over 70mph there was some residual wind noise, which is to be expected. I wouldn't deduct a star on that basis as it's common knowledge that you'll grind this in your car and it's more the fault of the door seals than this product. So here are my pros and cons: Pros: Very easy to set up Sturdy and gets the job done - won't damage the car Aesthetically pleasing - got a lot of stares and curious and potential future buyers COSMOS! - We saved so much space with this product. Economical - Much cheaper than a traditional luggage rack and can be used on any vehicle. We have a rental so it's perfect! Cons: Theft can be an issue so be smart about parking! Your items can easily be stolen. duh hahaAir Pressure- Expect a drop in pressure when going up and down mountains. We didn't think about it on the way back and found that the pipes lost pressure once we got below 4,000 feet. We had to stop and pump each tube a few times. That was the only downside, and while it's well known that this happens with elevation changes, I wish they knew about it. The product was working great until we heard objects whistling in the wind overhead. Without the direct view through our sunroof we would have lost our boards. Also, staying on the side of a mountain sucks! This is the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating.

Pros
  • QUICK AND EASY ASSEMBLY: It only takes 5 minutes to assemble the car roof rack without any tools. The roof racks are attached with a continuous strap and inflated with a pump. Then simply attach your paddle, surfboard or ladder. The video shows the installation process.
Cons
  • No
