Review on Qooltek ST-NET Ethernet Surge Protector with PoE+ Gigabit Modem Thunder & Lightning Protection - ST-RJ45 by Shree Carmean

These surge protectors were purchased after we lost our smart tv and other ethernet connected electronics. There was nobody at home, but in addition to the Smart TV, two routers, two switches, a set-top box, an Ethernet port on an on-board computer and an Android TV set-top box burned down. One device, an ethernet radio (as we leave the internet), was protected by a similar device and continues to work fine. I've looked inside the device and it appears to be well designed and well made. The extruded aluminum body gives it a solid feel. There's really no way of knowing for sure if another "event" will prevent this, but at least we're taking better preventive measures this time.
