Pros: I found it easy to install. They allow you to mount the laptop arm upside down as they require a different angle than a monitor. Made for 2 types of installation, monitor and laptop. Appears to be made of durable material. Some note that there is some recoil, but that's to be expected from an adjustable one, and I don't find it too bad unless you tend to lean on your hands when typing. Unlike some others I've looked at, this one has a notch on the laptop mount that I like. However, I see a design flaw that may be a big problem for some people. Laptops also tend to block one or more USB ports. If they made it adjustable so it could be moved to a different area of the laptop that would be more useful. It works fine for my purposes as the laptop I'm using it on isn't my primary laptop. The laptop I use is a bit thicker than most new ones and tends to pop out of my hand on one side. I solved this problem by using a piece of felt for protection and attaching it to the laptop's panel. I also ran a thin strap around the entire bottom to hold the laptop securely on the platter. The plate looks like it's securely attached to the arm, but I don't think that would be a problem.
