Review on 📻 BAOFENG Tri-Power Two-Way Radio Transceiver: 2 Pack 8W Radios with Bonus Extras, Black by Mike Davis

The Baofeng UV-5RTP is an excellent Walkie-Talkie (HT) at such a low price. It's unfair to compare this HT to expensive, high-end HTs from top Japanese brands. These HTs are sold ten times more expensive than Baofeng UV-5RTP! For the price here at Revain, the Baofeng UV-5RTP is an incredible value. I will only mention what I didn't like. the duck antenna is very bad - sometimes the HT makes noise (e.g. the squelch breaks), but that rarely happens - the external microphone has terrible sound quality (when you speak into it and listen to yourself with another radio) - Baofeng software lets hard to set up Aside from those issues, this HT is excellent. I bought separately 2 battery rectifiers + 2 external mag mount antennas. I then took both packs with me on a family trip to the Canadian Rockies. I installed them in two of our rental cars. We drove through the Rocky Mountains in BC and AB and being no more than 5 mics apart we were able to communicate easily. We used our US FCC ham pager on the simplex 146.520. call frequency. No problem. I also programmed the repeater memory for 20 BC and AB using the free CHIRP app. Unfortunately the included USB cable is not recognized by my Windows 7 OS but I already had a Wouxun USB cable which worked great and allowed me to program both HT's easily. I am very satisfied with Baofeng UV-5RTP.
