Overview: A great solution for laptop users who need multiple displays when traveling or working away from the office Setup: Setup is pretty easy. You should have everything plugged in and connected in about a minute. You unplug it from the back and plug it into a laptop monitor. If it is weak, you can attach a support. After connecting to the screen, you need to connect each monitor individually to the laptop for video. This can either be done with a single USB-C cable if it supports video output, or with a USB cable and an HDMI output. For me this meant I have a laptop that requires a USB-C cable for monitor 1 and an HDMI plus USB cable for monitor 2. For my other laptop, I need a USB cable for each monitor, an HDMI cable for monitor 1, and mini-cables. -Displayport adapter for monitor 2. Then adjust the Windows display settings to place them to the left and right of the main screen. Usage: Both monitors are 1080p. I prefer this resolution over custom because 1) it matches most laptop resolutions and 2) renders most content natively. The brightness is great, maybe a little less bright than my HDR gaming laptop's screen, but more than my Chromebook. It looks good inside and out, unless you're standing in direct light (which you shouldn't be doing with a laptop anyway). You can also use just one screen. Simply open one and connect the cables as described above. This is the cleanest setup for most people as it only includes a USB C cable if you have something like an Ultrabook or other laptop with USB C video. The only thing I would change is to move the speakers away from the screens. There are use cases for this, but I already have laptop speakers and didn't want to use the built-in ones on monitors. On most operating systems you could probably only use one or the other of the speakers anyway. They're easy to carry, the scale indicates they weigh 2.2 pounds and don't take up much space. They're only 12 inches tall and have small bezels, so they don't take up much desk space when installed. If you can get over the weird looks, you could easily use them at Starbucks. Thoughts: I use them more than I thought I would. I thought I would only use them when traveling but I use them at home on good days when I work from the porch or patio and don't want to lose productivity. I'm even considering changing my work from home to only use this one and not the second monitor I'm using now, the fit and functionality is so good.
