Having used this jug for over a month I can safely say it was worth it! This is my second jug from this brand and I love it. I would buy a third jug with a different capacity. I like the versatility and resistance to heat and cold. I've used it to boil water and brew tea right in the kettle without messing up extra dishes, which also saves time without having to do transfers. It's important to me that it's glass over plastic so there are no stains and that it's easy to disinfect - a huge plus! This pitcher has a lot of volume which is perfect and is an upgrade from the original I bought. I love both but the shape makes it fit better in the fridge but is easy to store and I can make large batches of specific teas to use as a base throughout the week. The silicone on the lid prevents spills when pouring and refrigerator aroma. The old glass jar I used to love didn't have a lid so that was a bonus and kept things fresh. I particularly like that it comes with a large mixing spoon and a cleaning attachment - both of which are perfect for the bottle size. This glass is excellent quality and durable so I'm sure it won't break easily making it easy to clean. I love this product and am very happy with this purchase.
