I've literally tried most of the top brands, Sidi Crossfire, Gaerne SG12 etc. The Tech 7 was MUCH more comfortable and had better cushioning around the foot. Other boots were stiff and hard and even painful, with little padding on the soles and ankles. The buckles work well but are sensitive to dirt so it's best to hose them down as soon as possible to prevent dirt getting into the buckles. Overall they are ideal because you don't have to think about them while driving because they are comfortable. So far the defense looks very good.
