I happened to shoot on different 35s - Sigma, Nikkor, Zeiss, Sony, Tamron 35 / 1.8, but this one is definitely the best. Regarding the quality of the picture, there are no complaints at all - how they were able to combine such sharpness and detail with soft and pleasant blurring in one lens is a mystery to me. In general, for many modern glasses (this is especially pronounced in the early Sigma Art and G Masters), because of the extreme sharpness, the glass suffers, right there everything is as good as you want - no triplets, ringing, sharp lines. When compared with competitors, then in almost any parameter (sharpness, AF speed, lack of HA and distortion, bokeh softness), Tamron will win, and even for less money. The only comparable competitor that comes to mind is Canon's second 35L, but when you consider its price, Tamron puts it on the shoulder blades too.
