I bought an ASUS 245h last year. I mostly just played on consoles so 75Hz was enough for what I was trying to do. I recently built a rig that can hit over 100fps in most games, so a 144hz monitor was on the cards. This monitor does not disappoint. But I have to say - compared to my 245x, the build quality is very poor. If you are buying this to assemble it does not apply to you as I would recommend. 144Hz is a game changer, especially for console games. It's hard to describe other than feeling like you're playing a different game. One star off for the brightness. Not sure if it's just my monitor, but even after calibrating it still seemed a little "dark". Don't get me wrong, the games look amazing and the colors are LOVED, but when you combine this with a separate monitor like me, it can be a little daunting if you want to. Get .ICC and manage your colors from ASUS. It's hard to find anything else negative about this monitor. When you're in a game you're not looking at the dressing room etc so that's cool.
