Requested these for our 3 year old. He is a bit petite, so size XS (3-4T) is too big for him. For the record, he's about 38 inches tall and the shorts hit below the knees. So if you are aiming for a gangster look, these could be perfect. !At a "normal" size for a 3 year old, they are likely to fit a little looser and last up to a 4 year old. The pants have drawstrings, which are more functional than decorative, so technically he could still wear them. The stitching and overall construction is very nice. what to expect at this price. Appropriate. they are neither cheap nor expensive. Given the build quality, I expect them to last, so that's valuable. no complaints
