As a first time mom with a newborn I ordered these spoons along with other spoons to be ready when my son starts eating. I had 4 types of spoons but only 4 of them. Now my son is eating and they are by far my favorite. I can't even say why. Maybe a soft round shape or soft plastic. I never use the hot indicator because I check the temperature of my son's food before I give him food? But I always prefer them to the point where I buy more despite having many other spoons. What I don't like is that they get dirty VERY easily and then look dirty. One has watermelon spots, the other carrot spots, and they always look pretty ugly. I also don't like that my nephew has the same ones but we can't use them because they chew quite easily (due to the soft plastic I think) and then leave uneven spots which can be painful for the baby is teething. My favorite so far until my son raises rodents.
