Great complement set: magnets and magnetic toys

I bought this item as a birthday present for my son about a month and a half ago. Along with this set I also bought some Magna tiles. This is my son's first time buying magnets so I wasn't sure which set to choose. First of all I would say that quality of Picasso tiles is very comparable to Magna tiles. The only difference I've seen between the two is that the Magna tiles are different colors, are a bit heavier, and have extra security to hold the magnets in place (I'll post pics so you can compare ). The magnets are the same strength and they both handle rough play well. As for this particular set, I think it would be a great addition if you already have magnets at home. 26 pieces are not enough for a child to play with. Personally, I would recommend starting with around 100 pieces. There are 26 pieces in the set, none of which are thrown away. You get a combination of squares, two different triangles and a car part. To my surprise, the car piece is actually quite large. About the size of an adult hand. This is great because it's easier for your child to manage. All in all I would recommend this set.
