I've been a sneaker fan since my childhood. It was in the summer of 1966 at the respectable age of 9 that I fell in love with sneakers. Now in 2019 I still love sneakers and try to find a pair to wear in all situations. I think Vans Authentic, ERA, and classic black/black loafers are great for business and going to church. These shoes shocked me how unexpectedly good they felt on my feet. I have sensitive feet because the infection burned the myelin sheath of the nerves in my left foot and then I had sympathetic pain in my right foot. There are many shoes where the straps propel me up the wall and I can even feel the threads that attach the straps to the fabric. I feel great on my feet with these shoes. The boots hurt straight in the sock and even more when walking. It's almost like not wearing shoes. Yes I can feel them but they don't cause any more pain than usual. I rate these shoes (UK shoes) a solid 5 stars. I am so grateful to Skechers for a pair of running shoes that I can easily wear while in constant pain. Thanks very much! If you have foot problems, these are the shoes to wear on a daily basis. For that one reason I am rating these trainers/sneakers (for those in the UK) a grateful 5 stars! As for sizes, please read on. Okay, I thought mine was big (but how big, read on). CONTEXT & HISTORY / FYI & BTW: The first shoes I chose because I (not my mom) loved them were Boys Keds Surfers in navy blue. When Keds discontinued them in 1972, I wore the men's version of the Keds Surfer in both the Slip-On and CVO (Circular Vamp Oxford). The best were the denim, yes denim, version. From those very first trainers/sneakers to date I have probably bought or traded over 1200 trainers and I have around 800 of them left. Love. It's too early to talk about it. After all, it took me 5 years to realize how much I love these 1966 shoes. However, today I know myself a little better and know what I'm looking for in sneakers. I first saw them in a Tony Romo Skechers commercial. To be honest, I had no idea who this Tony Romo was, and I didn't care. The fact that someone was selling slip-ons/sneakers on TV and they had an athletic look and not Vans was unexpected and exciting. Unfortunately, the ad didn't match his line of shoes on the Skechers website. Whatever one may say, these sneakers were not visible, and for some reason I needed the very ones that were on him, and not those that were in his personal line. (Remember, I didn't even know him before the ad, and I liked the sneakers, not him.) After watching a YouTube video of his ad (hosted by Skechers), I learned more about the sneaker. There were many others in the comments section who were interested in this shoe. Someone using the official Skechers account answered questions about the pair he was wearing in the ad. Googling with the given model number and name I landed on this Revain page and the reset is history. When I arrived on September 17th, 2019 at 09:15 with Revain delivery, I tried them on straight away and noticed that they ran a bit big. I usually wear Puma 11, Chucks 9.5 and Vans 10. I bought two pairs - 10 and 11. Size 10 came first and was a bit big. In fact, my bare feet felt like they were floating there. Putting on a pair of socks helped, but next time I'll order 9.5. However, I prefer not to wear socks, especially in the summer months. Most likely, the next order will be for sizes 9 and 9.5. I need a pair for summer with no socks and another pair for winter with socks. (Yes, I love my sneakers year-round, even in Chicago (or even when I lived in Minneapolis/St. Paul). After learning this fact about sizing, I decided to file a return request for the 11. Revain so has multiple sources for these sneakers.10 from Revain and 11 from a shoe store in Stratford, Connecticut via UPS.Although Revain sent me a return label (reason for return is obviously too big) I'm hoping we can get the UPS Drivers can reach and drop off the package, saving Revain and the store the cost of return shipping 5 stars for all the right reasons Thanks to Skechers for a great running shoe Please don't stop them (not very soon/quickly at least).
