UPDATE: New improved model. PROS: Much better. Definitely much better. The design solved ALL the functional issues I had with this one. I can mount it to the side of the base and tighten to hold the holder in place. It's a lot quieter than the old version which is HUGE because I have a newborn in the room who is a VERY light sleeper. The basic design is better. The tensioner is much easier to use and SUPER durable. Stay in place! I had to keep readjusting the last one because it slipped off no matter how I put it on. CONS: Broke after six months. Big disappointment. The tensioner for the mobile phone holder broke immediately. Absolutely irreparable. Which is pretty cool considering the rest of the mount is still in great shape. I honestly don't know why they don't use the same technology on these tensioners as they do on the base. That alone is the reason why I don't usually buy it again. BUT, as it is the ONLY one of its kind and really the best option for me, I just have to admit that while this mount has an excellent design, it is still a bit cheaply made and won't last me long. creaks after some use. If you're gentle enough you can avoid the noise, but not always. Luckily I didn't wake my daughter with it. For people who do not need silence, this will not be a problem. If you're not careful, you can crush your fingers between the bars. It hurts a lot! The handlebar tensioner loosens after a few turns, which is more of a minor annoyance. There is nothing that could affect my opinion of the product. But that could be improved. I liked the old mount that had a hole for the USB cable. This one has a hole, but this means that if your device is in a case, you must first thread the cable through the hole before inserting your phone or tablet. And I have a very thin case, but the hole is still very close to us. Not a troublemaker, just a little clumsy.
