I bought this to match my finger size with a ring I was planning to buy online and it fits true to size. The ring I ordered couldn't fit better. I have heard that these do it yourself ring gauges are a bad idea and that you should go to an experienced jeweler, but my experience with jewelers measuring my fingers has not been as successful as using this gauge. My engagement ring from Jared was the wrong size and was too big and the other ring I have from Kay Jewelers was also the wrong size. The new ring that I bought online using this size chart is actually the first ring that fit me like this the first time.
