Review on Lisle 71500 Exhaust Manifold Template by June Reeves

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Use a Master Puller, Model #: 52152 or similar, and buy a quality drill, more than one (I broke off 3 to make a bolt)

I had an exhaust leak due to a broken bolt to cylinder #1 (passenger side foremost cylinder) for 5.4 liter F150. I was very skeptical that this product would work, but I really didn't want to remove the head either, so I decided to give it a try. The jig was assembled very quickly, which I knew would be the easy part. I had to take 90gr. Drill to get into space and had to cut off the back of one of the drills to get there. I couldn't see what I was doing, the space was so tight I had to fill in where to put the drill to drill in the right spot. However, after about 45 minutes of very thorough drilling with a bit of testing, more drilling and testing, I was able to drill through anything that would work with extractors. Note. This isn't the kind of work you want to rush. The jig is the most important part of this set, the drill and pullouts are crap. I'm a mechanical engineer and was very pleased with how well this ket worked and helped in traffic. I would 100% recommend, buy or rent my tool to anyone with the same problem.

  • good
